The Grid Bar
Insert Coin offers “The Grid”, a digital frontier Tron-themed bar offering out of this world beverages. Inside The Grid you will find a 33 tap self-pour beer & cider wall, unique cocktails and mocktails, pull tabs, Jell-O shots & our Makr Shakr Robot Bartender named Quorra.
Quorra is the first Makr Shakr on the West Coast and can whip up almost any drink imaginable. Choose to have your drink made by our bar staff or by Quorra and enjoy her show! You can also catch her dancing in between drinks.

Insert Coin Olympia offers three themed party rooms: Green Minecraft Party Room, Yellow Pac-Man Party Room & Red Space Invaders Party Room. Each room can accommodate up to 40 guests. We can also host parties of up to 80 - 120 guests when you combine two or three of the rooms. We have accordion walls separating each room for privacy.
Party rooms are available for two hour reservations or more. 11am-1pm; 1:30pm-3:30pm; 4pm-6pm; 6:30pm-8:30pm; 9pm-11pm (Fri & Sat Only). “Game On!” party packages include food, drinks, game cards and fun add-ons like milkshakes, axe-throwing & party decorations!

About Us
Dan and Keli Coleman are IT Manager nerds turned arcade bar owners. Their concept of Insert Coin was born after visiting Quarters Arcade Bar in Salt Lake City Utah. Being kids of the '80s, they were hooked on the idea of retro gaming in a social bar atmosphere. Throughout the early pandemic, the Colemans began collecting both retro and new arcade games from all across the great PNW. After months of searching for the perfect place, the Colemans found a 110+ year old building in historic Downtown Centralia Washington. There was a clear need for more family entertainment in Hub City, so after months of restoring the building to a more recent vintage, Insert Coin opened its doors on July 9th, 2021. Quickly becoming a booming community staple, Insert Coin Centralia has won over a dozen awards and has been featured in Seattle King5 Evening Magazine, The Seattle Times, South Sound Magazine, and the Best of Washington social media page! Just one month in, Insert Coin was named Best New Business in Lewis County. The community showed up, and never stopped. So Dan and Keli reinvested everything and opened a second location in Olympia Washington on September 13th 2024! 3 times the size, 3 times the fun, still family owned and operated, still powered by gaming!
Insert Coin
The name Insert Coin was chosen because every single original retro arcade game has "Insert Coin" across the screen and on the nostalgic coin entries. The name is a nod to this era and the memories it brings. However, with the owners being technology nerds, they wanted to blend the new with the old. Using a game card system appeared to be the way to go with no more coin jams, faster gameplay, and digital tickets (which are better for the environment). Game credits and tickets never expire, and with game cards we are able to offer cool features like a $15 all day pinball pass.

We allow kids at Insert Coin from 11:00 am - 11:00 pm every day. Following orders from the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board, Insert Coin becomes a 21+ venue after 11:00 pm. All minors and other persons who are not allowed to consume alcohol at Insert Coin must leave the building after 11:00 pm. Our juke box also stops filtering music at 9:00 pm.

Our game prices vary game to game. Everything runs on credits through the game card system. 1 credit equals 10 cents. So a 25 credit game would be $2.50 per play. Some are 15 credits, 20, 30, etc. We generally say that $30 on a game card will allow you to play for a good while as long as those credits aren’t all used on prize games (claw machines), those are much faster games and can add up.
Our game card kiosks also offer credit bonuses over $30 so you get more credits for your money. *Please note that our game card kiosks will split the dollar amount you select evenly among the number of cards you select (e.g., $50 for 4 cards = $12.5 of credits on each card).
In Olympia we offer a $15 all day pinball pass that allows 24 hours of unlimited pinball play for just $15 and a 7-day pinball pass for $75. We also offer 30 retro games inside ‘Flynn's’ that are all completely free and we offer free console gaming at select dining tables. There is something for every person and budget.

Yes. We have salads, bone-in wings, potato products, gluten free pizza crust, and lettuce wrapped or gluten free burger buns. *Our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment. While we take precautions, cross-contamination with gluten-containing ingredients may occur

Yes. We would still have to activate it and tie it to your open tab though. But you can keep it forever!

You can keep it for the next time you come back if you are saving credits or tickets. Or you can recycle it in the designated Card Recycling boxes in our facility. Credits and tickets don't expire.

The game cards are COMPLETELY separate from the self-pour tap wall cards. They are two exclusively different systems for the safety of minors

We do NOT provide refunds for game cards. There are NO exceptions for this and it is explicitly stated at the arcade kiosks. The credits and tickets last forever and the game cards can be used at both locations.

We pride ourselves on using local vendors when possible. Currently we use the same sourdough pizza dough as Brigg’s Taphouse at our Olympia location, all fresh, never frozen.

We don’t do reservations. Seating is first come, first serve. In Olympia, we offer counter service where customers can order at our ordering counter, kiosk, or table QR codes.
If you are planning on bringing a large party or having a gathering in the dining room, just be sure to arrive early.

We use fresh meat from a local, Washington State ranch and hand press our burgers. They are never frozen, and never have been!

It is every Tuesday in Olympia and every Wednesday in Centralia. Customers will receive a $10 game card with every adult entree or 12” pizza and a $5 game card with every kids meal or 7” pizza. Lunch specials are exempt from this offer. This offer cannot be combined with other offers or discounts.

This is a common issue with banks, where they will show the pre-authorized amount pending for both the pre-tip amount and the post-tip amount. Only the final amount will finalize the next business day and the other pending amount will fall off. This has to do with who the customer banks with, we have no control over this. We have also never had an instance where the pending charge did not fall off.
